I recently purchased a brand new television for $11,000 and hired a technician from a 3C store to mount it on the wall. During the installation process, the technician accidentally damaged the television, leaving a large crack on the screen. When I raised the issue with the store, they sent another technician to inspect the damage. The technician confirmed that it was their fault and promised to replace the television, but a week later, the store called me and refused to take responsibility unless I could provide video evidence of the incident. I am frustrated and disappointed with their response and wondering if there are any consumer protection agencies or legal options available to me in this situation.
Not sure if this is a legal question, but what options do I have to recoup the damages? Also, what are the consumer protection laws in Taiwan?
