How do I renew my work permit after changing schools?

Does anyone know the process the process to renew my work permit after changing schools?

I’ve given my current school a month notice before quitting. I heard that I can still stay an extra 6 months after finishing. Do I need to do anything or is it automatic? Thanks in advance.

you need to get a letter from them saying your job and contract has been terminated. Then take this along with your current ARC to the immigration office. Fill out a form and you'll get a new ARC with 6 months. Basically you have 6 months to find a new job and get a new work contract.
